Miceal C. Rooney

Mike Rooney brings extensive experience to the field of executive coaching, career development and corporate career transition training.  His background also includes consulting psychology credentials.

He has worked in the Career Transition field for over 25 years with boutique, regional and international firms.  He has broad experience as a consulting psychologist to executives and businesses nationwide. 

Mike has conducted numerous training programs, both individual and group, with major corporations in various industries, including banking, energy, telecommunications, insurance, foods, electronics, transportation and retail.  In the not-for-profit sector, Mike has extensive experience servicing the healthcare industry.  His clients include hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide.  For the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mike developed a seminar on career transition for Medical Services Corps officers returning to the civilian work force.

Mike has specialized psychological training in executive assessment and executive coaching.  In addition to authoring numerous articles on career management, Mike conducted in-depth research on the correlation of personality traits with the variables of executive job search.

Mike has a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Theology from the University of St. Mary of the Lake.  His Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.  He is licensed in Illinois and Indiana.

Mike is a member of the Consulting Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
