Ken Kucharemail me

As probably the only career consultant in the world who holds degrees in math and counseling psychology, Ken serves in the much coveted role of SSP's "high tech counselor." Helping lead our technology and Internet initiatives, Ken leverages his background to ensure the firm provides contemporary solutions for job seekers in the new world of work. For example, Ken has set up and facilitates a networking group that communicates primarily by email. Ken also manages SSP's Joliet office.

For the past seven years, Ken has provided career management services including managing an office in Ohio, managing a four year downsizing initiative involving over 2,500 individuals, serving as project manager for dozens of facility closings and downsizings, and providing individuals with personal career transition support.

His prior experience includes corporate positions with the Illinois Central Railroad and Sharp Electronics where he, among other things, created and managed a state-of-the art HR Information System. He also provided Psychotherapy at two Chicago area hospitals.

Ken holds a BS in Math from Purdue and a MS in Counseling Psychology from George Williams College.

He is an active member of IACMP (International Association of Career Management Professionals) where he co-chairs the technology committee. In addition, Ken is a charter member of AOL (1992).

"I have had four different careers with the core theme being service to others. I’ve made my share of mistakes, had my share of joys and adversity. Through it all, I feel fortunate and fulfilled. I strive for a balance between my work where I am passionate about coaching people on career success, and my personal life where I am passionate about my family, tennis, golf, international travel and science fiction."
